چکیده

A meta-analysis was conducted to determine the effects of different types oligosaccharides (OS) on egg quality, intestinal profile, nutrient digestibility, and immunity laying hens. dataset constructed from articles published between 2006 2023 via a literature search using several keywords related hens’ performance. After careful evaluation, final developed 25 in vivo studies comprising 165 comparisons. The meta-regression showed that levels OS supplementation curvilinearly increased (p < 0.05) hen day production (HDEP), crude protein digestibility (CPD). However, did not affect > feed intake (FI), conversion ratio (FCR), mass, weight, eggshell thickness, shell strength, Haugh unit. positively improved antioxidant activity, as indicated by curvilinear effect superoxide dismutase (SOD) malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration. In categorical meta-analysis, mannan oligosaccharide (MOS), xylooligosaccharides (XOS), chitosan (COS) significantly 0.01) HDEP CPD. MOS only type decreased FCR while FOS increase To sum up, could generally but is superior improving better than other thickness.HIGHLIGHTSOligosaccharides hens.Mannan improves hens.Elevated trends IgG IgA after with oligosaccharides.Fructo-oligosaccharides improve thickness suppress Malondialdehyde

Effects of Chito-oligosaccharide Supplementation on Egg Production, Nutrient Digestibility, Egg Quality and Blood Profiles in Laying Hens

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementation with chito-oligosccharide (COS) on egg production, nutrient digestibility, egg quality and blood profiles in laying hens. A total of 240 Hy-line Brown laying hens were randomly allocated into one of the following 5 dietary treatments: i) CON, basal diet; ii) ANT, basal diet+44 mg/kg avilamycin; iii) COS0.2, basal diet+2...

Effects of laying hens housing system on laying performance, egg quality characteristics, and egg microbial contamination

The objective of this study was to compare the performance, egg quality, and microbial contamination of egg shells from hens maintained in different housing systems, such as conventional and enriched cages, litter, and aviaries. The housing system significantly (P < 0.001) influenced the performance characteristics. The highest egg production, lowest daily feed consumption, and feed conversion ...

Effects of dietary supplementation of quercetin on performance, egg quality, cecal microflora populations, and antioxidant status in laying hens.

Plant polyphenols, especially flavonoids, are of great interest due to their wide range of biological activities. Quercetin, a ubiquitous flavonoid, is known to have antioxidant and antibacterial effects. In this study, we investigated the effect of quercetin on performance, egg quality, cecal microflora populations, and antioxidant status in laying hens. Two hundred forty 28-wk-old Hessian lay...

Interactive Influence of Formycine® Gold and Pigment on Egg Quality and Performance of Laying Hens

Sodium bentonite can bind to dietary pigment and decreases yolk color scale. Sodium bentonite is one of the main parts of Formycine® Gold, the effect of different levels of Formycine® Gold and dietary pigment on egg quality, egg yolk color and performance criteria of laying hens from 26 to 34 week of age were studied. One hundred ninety two Hy-Line hens were divided into 24 groups of 8 birds ea...
